Volunteer Your Time & Talent

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Pt 4:10).

For to everyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. (Matthew 25:29)

For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contribute all she had, her whole livelihood.” (Mark 12:44)

Please consider sharing your time, talent, and treasure. Use your gifts for God’s great glory!

Social Media

Did you know that St. John’s church has a Facebook page?

We would like to continue to keep our parish and surrounding community informed of the many social and spiritual activities at our parish. We are currently looking for a new moderator for our Facebook page. The job would be to post pictures, event details, etc.

Social Events

Have you attended any of the fun social events St. John the Apostle parish hosted this past year? We are excited to start a “new organization” to continue building our church community by having social events. There are so many ways that we can do this. So far we have had Casino Night, Family Game Day and Parish Picnic. We are looking for people who are interested in bringing new ideas for these types of events.

Almighty God, we thank you for all the gifts You have given us: our lives, our loved ones, all that we have and all that we are. Most of all, we thank You for Jesus, your Son and our Redeemer, who came among us to show us the way to eternal life. Jesus was the perfect steward of your gifts, showing that complete trust in You is necessary, and that giving of self is a most important part of following Him. May the offerings of our time, our talents, and our material resources be made in the same spirit of sacrifice that Jesus taught us by His life and death for us. Amen.
