Dear parishioners and friends of St. John the Apostle:
As you very well know, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is having a major impact on everyday life in so many different ways. In the temporary absence of being able to get to Mass on Sunday, please be aware that our parish will start live streaming Sunday Mass this weekend. We will be streaming live a Mass for the 5th Sunday of Lent, this Saturday at 5:30 PM. I will be sending out the details on how to access the live streaming later this week. If you miss the live stream, it will be available to access at any other time.
UNDER CARDINAL TOBIN’S NEW DIRECTIVE (CLICK HERE TO READ FULL DIRECTIVE):
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is suspended until further notice with the exception of an extreme emergency.
Also, in the absence of being able to provide an offering as we usually do at Mass, our parish now has a GoFundMe page. We completely understand that many people are temporarily not receiving income from their job at this time and we pray that will change very soon… but for those who can give at this time, the GoFundMe page could be a convenient option. The GoFundMe page is like placing your offering in the basket.
For those who would like to continue to donate using your offering envelopes, you can mail the offering to:
St. John the Apostle Church
1805 Penbrook Terrace
Linden, NJ 07036
And if you are already contributing with online giving, it’s perfectly ok to continue to do so.
As we place our trust in Jesus Christ during these challenging times, we know that His grace will sustain us.
